Protect Your Assets & Information!
Internet Security requires ongoing diligence to guard against attempts to infect or take over your computer. Internet thieves utilize numerous methods in an effort to retrieve your confidential information, including passwords you may use for various websites.
Your computer may become infected by innocently clicking on a link within an email from an unknown sender or by browsing the internet. While there is no 100% deterrent to an internet breach, we urge you to use strong anti-virus, anti-spyware and anti-malware software and to scan your computer frequently for potential problems.
Our online platform provides anti-spoofing technology and layered authentication. This is through the use of the picture and phrase you selected when you first enrolled for our online banking service. To deter any spoofing attempts, please ensure both the picture and phrase are correct whenever you sign on. If you see a different picture or phrase, close your web browser at once and contact us immediately.
Of course, we strongly recommend that you utilize strong passwords and that you do not share your user access data with anyone. You should refrain from writing this information down where someone else may have access to it.
If something appears to be amiss or you believe that your online security may have been compromised, please contact us immediately.
Metropolitan National Bank employees will never contact you on an unsolicited basis by email or telephone to request your user name or password. If you receive such a request, DO NOT provide the caller with information or click on any links AND contact your branch or account officer immediately. Please also be reminded to verify your unique picture and phrase whenever you log on to your online account.
